How to Cancel Spotify Premium on the Web

This works on any device. Log in at spotify.com in your browser—this is the fastest path for most users.

  1. 1
    Go to spotify.com/account

Sign in with your Spotify credentials.

  2. 2
Under "Your plan," click Manage Subscription

You'll see your current plan and billing date.

  3. 3
Scroll down and click "Cancel Premium"

This appears below the plan options.

  4. 4
    Click "Continue to Cancel"

Spotify shows retention offers. Read them but click through if you want to cancel.

    Click "Yes, Cancel"

Cancellation is confirmed. You keep Premium until your next billing date, then revert to the free tier.

iOS users: don't use the Spotify app

On iPhone, there is no cancel button inside the Spotify app. You must either go to spotify.com in your phone's browser, or cancel through Apple Settings → Subscriptions (if you subscribed via App Store).

Frequently Asked Questions

No. All playlists, liked songs, followed artists, and saved albums remain on the free Spotify tier. You just can't listen offline or skip unlimited times.

Offline downloads become inaccessible when you drop to the free tier. If you resubscribe to Premium, they'll reappear (assuming those tracks are still available).

Spotify does not offer a pause option. You cancel and resubscribe when you're ready.

If a charge processed before you canceled (e.g., you canceled on your billing date), that charge covers the current period. No future charges will occur. Contact Spotify support if charged after a confirmed cancellation.
