Use your credits first

Unused Audible credits expire immediately when you cancel and are non-refundable. If you have 1 or more credits remaining, spend them on audiobooks before proceeding. Go to audible.com → My Library → use credits on titles you want.

How to Cancel Audible on the Web

The Audible mobile app does not have a cancel option. You must use the website, either on a computer or in your phone's browser.

  1. 1
    Spend any unused credits

Go to audible.com → browse titles → purchase with credits before continuing.

  2. 2
Go to audible.com and sign in with your Amazon account
  3. 3
Click your name (top right) → Account Details
  4. 4
    Click "Membership Details"
  5. 5
    Click "Cancel Membership"

Audible may offer a pause (1–3 months) or a discounted retention offer. Click "Continue to Cancel" to proceed past these.

  6. 6
    Confirm: "Cancel Membership"

You receive a confirmation email. Access to Audible Plus streaming catalog ends; purchased books stay in your library forever.

Subscribed Through Apple?

If you subscribed to Audible through the App Store (less common—most Audible accounts are directly with Amazon), cancel via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Audible → Cancel Subscription.

Consider Pausing Instead

If you want a break but not a full cancellation, Audible lets you pause your membership for 1, 2, or 3 months. Your credits don't expire during a pause, and you retain access to your library.

To pause: Account Details → Membership Details → Pause Membership → choose duration.
